Not all CU's are created equal.
Some have been extremely proficient ..
Patelco and Affinity are some that come to mind.
I would say 8-10 CU's I have joined only required ID for membership and a CC.
Having said that, they may have a lot of data stored on me somewhere.?
And it is not LexisNexis ..as that was frozen years back.
huh which one, plz do tell. Not that I'm that interested in CUs at this point, even if I get a large SL, what's the use if I don't actually use it lol. Anyway if it is easy like PenFed that's great, no need to upload anything, but PenFed only gave my PCR 2k, so..gotta stop apping I guess

I used my paystubs as proof of meeting membership criteria, as my employer is based in San Jose, so they had my proof of income from the beginning. Everything for the Visa and auto loan was docusign except for the very end of the auto loan as I had the dealership meet me at KPCU in Santa Clara. The dealer left with a cashier's check based on the loan and I left with my daughters new Jeep.
I'd love to give recognition and recommend the lady that handled everything for me, but I'm not certain if that's allowed here. If @FinStar or @UncleB give it their blessing, I will.

I know that certain huge employers will report income to a data aggregator or two and I'm assuming mine is one of them, as I've only had to provide POI to AOD out of all my accounts. If I had to guess, I'd say it's likely one Experian's offerings that works similar to Sagestream or LN.

Thanks for reaching out, @ChargedUp... my thoughts on this is it's probably not a good idea if you actually appreciate the service you received. I say this as someone who 'back in the day' used to work in a customer-facing position for a large company.
Here's why... once you put the reps first name on the internet for all to see she's likely to be inundated with calls since she's known to be 'good'. Best-case scenario she gets an increased workload which really isn't fair to her, and worst-case scenario the increased traffic forwarded to her extension could kill her metrics, which impacts her job.
TL;DR... no issues with sharing your contact's name with friends and family, but probably best to keep her info off the world-wide internet.
Same here, found them through finofr and was pre-qualified (EX8 SP) for $25k CC, PL or PLOC and auto loan up to $100k. My EX8 is 755 w/3 inquiries in the past month.
Been shopping around for a good BT card for about 10K that I've been carrying and KPCU offered 16 months 0% with a 2% BT fee. 12.99% standard APR.
Documentaion was required to get my CU membership setup, provided DL, utility bill and passport. No proof of income was required. Whole process was done in less than 24 hours from start to finish. Great experience with their customer service team.

The process wasn't done in 24 hours in my case for sure, rather it dragged for 10 days...I was instantly approved for $25k...but 3 days later I got a message from them to provide them additional information about my work...and then yesterday I got a call from underwriter to explain more about my job...and today got the denial thru email..and letter is said to be mailed in a week...Don't know why all these credit unions are not able to verify my work...
During the summer, Dover FCU and then Interior FCU and now KeyPoint FCU...and even Baxter CU even contacted me and asked bunch of questions about my job despite of instantly approving $25k limit. I believe if SL limit would have been lower than $15k-$20k then there wont be any POI requested, but all my approvals with all these CUs were instant (based on my profile, score and info on the application) and all were of at least $25k...Big banks don't care about POI...but I work for the reputed company but they questioned why the company is not online...which is kinda shocking to me...Oh well...
Baxter CU just wrote me to ask me something very strange document...which I can not provide...so this instant approval of $25k goes into drain as well...
