yeah unless you are in service area they are trying to quitely pull themselves back from allowing access through memberships I believe and they will just deny you.

I received mine too.
but they are now not allowing any credit products to members that don't qualify for membership without joining through an organization.
Without revealing specifics, I'm a member of one of their member organizations
lol i got a denial today...The answer was I DIDNT HAVE A VALID VISA!!!...lol im 100 percent american and so is my family i dont know what there smoking its a joke that company is

I am in the same situation. I applied via my child's military service. They accepted me without any questions, just like Navy. Their website is so primative, there is no provision to apply for a credit card on-line.
I do not want to be associated with those myFICO loonies anyway. How dare they get on the internet and spread the word about a potentially good Credit Union only to find out said CU was a "not-ready-for-prime-time-player".
