I might get denied on the next CLI luv button attempt?
No, it just means they're goign to take a deeper look at your file. I'm not sure where you started at or where you're at currently with them since you didn't post it but, a $500 is not usually a bad thing as much as it can be frustrating to some.
What kind of cycle are you on for requesting them? 30/60/90 days?
What's your limit been stepping at in the past?
What are your scores?
What kind of spend to limit are you doing?
I was on the 500 CL train for months then boom, 6k. You just never know. Not a thing wrong with 500. ![]()

Every 90 days usually 92-93. Last time was 4 months however which got the 500, but at just under 50% util.
Scores are 720-730 each CLI and I received 4k, 1000, then 500 last year. Previous year was minimal increases, but I think I had over 50% util for most of the year. Scores now 740+ across the board
Lots of BTs to about 75% of limit then paying down. Now at just under 35% util on Discover. (Largest of any card by far) They were offering 0% transfer fee BTs with only 5% APR for several months.

Hubby has only gotten 500 for each his CLI's.
Better than denials I suppose. Hopefully he has a big number coming.

Good to know. I'm at just under 35% util now with them so hopefully this will suffice for them. Maybe I can get a surprise Auto LUV just as I go to hit the button ![]()

Ok... that paints a clear picture based on the info I've seen for the past couple of years. Disco loves BT's but, they withold the CLI's with the big dollar signs until it's paid down then hit you like a 8.0 earthquake with thousands of love.
The nice things about them is that yes, you get tons of 0% / 4.99% offers. Downside is pausing your CL if you carry a significant balance. Rewards when paid off though seem to be pretty good.
The approach though varies depending on what's more important... 0% or growth.
CLI timing 90 days can be over shooting the best possible scenario though my every other month approach doesn't work for everyone either.
Your scores are good enough to be hitting the bigger CLI's though. Just concentrate on dropping the balance if you need growth but, if you need 0% more then you just keep on doing what you're doing.

It means they're still keeping their eyes on you. My first string of CLIs with Disco was $500 a pop. But at least it was a move in the right direction. Now, they're more generous. My last CLI was $5K ($13K to $18K)

Yea well maybe they should mind their business
but better than decline which would make me hesitate for sure. Like Amex who declined my CLI twice so now I'm really heisitant with those guys until I start spending a lot on their card and making few hundred dollars payments minimum. I think I have almost reached my ceiling with them though. Just trying to get to that 24k-25k area
