Has anyone applied for the new Laurel Road credit card that gives a 2% rebate paid towards your student loan balance? I'm curious how approvals are going and if this card is worth it.
I currently use my Charles Scwab AMEX 1.5% rebate into my CS account
I have
Discover Card balane $4474 0% ($6K limit)
Citicard balance $1900 0% ($3K limit)
local credit union card $12K 0% (15K limit)
I have 4 cards with $0 balances but experian says my CC utilization is 40% right now and FICO is 703.
My wife just received an email for the Laurel Road CC as there is a $100 sign up offer for AMA members.
Did you apply? Curious to see some data on the card to see if it is worth the HP.
I did apply and got a $15K Limit. I haven't had it a full month yet, but there was no fee for me to apply or no annual fee. 2% cash back towards student loans is a huge deal for me. The only other card I have is the Scwab Amex which is 1.5% cash back into my schwab account.
The webiste is a little outdated and I don't know if they have a mobile app to pay. It runs through Key bank. They did ask me to send in paystubs for incomee verification, but that could be becuse we just moved in the past 60 days.
