I had 3 accounts before I decided to get my first Chase card. I was approved. It was Chase Freedom with $2500. I decided to apply for Freedom Unlimited and was denied. After going thru reconsideration I was denied again. Mostly because my credit history is too new and my oldest account didn't go thru 1 year cycle when I applied. I believe it was showing only 11 payments and less than 1 year of credit history. Next time I will be more patient and wait extra month (13 mo) to make sure I get another Chase card. Anyways I'm happy.
In Chase letter my credit score was 701 if someone is interested.
