Do you think I may be able to go for the venture card? I was thinking I should get something with a lot of credit limit and only use a little and maybe that would help a lot?
i'm not sure about venture though, it's their top tier card. i would try the capital one prequal site and see if you are prequalified for it.

Lol thanks for the heads up I thought they weren't the best. Now what's the most basic one I can sign up for? If I wanted to see my scores? And when you see your own scored its a soft inquire and it does not hurt your credit correct?
The most basic one I think cost like $23 or so? And the answer is NO- see blue. It does not affect your score. Keep in mind, CAP 1 will pull all 3 bureaus for you. With a thin file like yours, you should only get cards you want.
With a year history under your belt, Chase Freedom card is a good one to start with. There is a promotion going on now as you get $200 after spending $500. You also want to apply for Amex as they like thin files and tend to growwith you quickly...
If you don't mind paying, find out your FICOs and then apply for the Chase Freedom and an Amex card for starters.

Thank your for your warm welcome!
No specific cars in mind right now.
Just kind of wanted to see what was the best that I'd be able to get, if that make any sense.
I'd rather apply for something better than cap one just don't really know what good cards are out there that would most likely approve me. Thank you for you're reply
Click on any card in my signature, it will bring you to a thread that has a bunch of spreadsheets with detailson good cash back cards and how much cash back you could expect to get in a year based on yor estimated spend in the various categories.
You might also want to prioritize on getting cards from companies that are providing free FICO scores. So, a Discover card for Transunion score, a First National Bank of Omaha card for Experian score, a Citi Double Cash for Equifax score.
Okay I will probably go for the chase freedom one.
I don't mind paying but I saw there was like a 25/mo one and a 60/yr one time
from your experience what is the biggest difference ?

The 25/a month gives you all 3 scores and alerts you if anything changes in your report every time and it updates your scores should there be a change when an alerts hits. The 60/yr is just a one time straight deal and does not give you alerts or anything like that..
I think the 25/a month you can cancel after 3 months if it doesn't suit your needs..
Nice, I'll sign up for the 25/mo
i want to see my real FICO scores
