I'm looking for a balance transfer card with 0% or even 2.99%. Which cards fit my credit profile best?
History: I had 14 credit cards with over 50K in total balances. I paid off 12 of them and closed 8 (they were less than 3 years old).
I currently have balances on my 3 NFCU cards. Green Card is at 47%, Blue Amex is at 26%, CLOC is at 59%. I have a Pen Fed Auto Loan which is newly refinanced and at around 90%.
I have never missed a payment on anything.
I know max NFCU cards is 3, is that including the CLOC?
Current total utilization is under 25% with about 23K in CC and CLOC balances with over 80K available. Auto is at 10.6K of 11.9K. Annual salary is around 100K.
I was recently denied for the Citi Double Cash Card. I have 12 inquiries in past 2 years.
I want to knock this out and get debt free, but I'd rather do it with a low balance transfer account if possible. If its not then it is what it is and ill keep plugging away as I have been.
Thank you so much everyone.
@Breezy117114 Great job on paying down debt. I'm doing the same and it feels so good.
PenFed, NFCU, and BofA (CR) all have 0% BT cards right now. I would look at those. PenFed and BofA both have 3% transfer fee, but they're also offering $100 and $200 SUB, respectively. So that could offset some of the cost.
