Good luck!
*Update*
The membership stuck, but when Underwriting called about my card application, they just could not get beyond how much available credit I have. So she asked for collateral haha. Then she insisted I throw a desired limit (even after I continuously asked if they had a typical entry-level amount). So I say $15k. Only then she says "frankly you have way too much credit and that poses a significant risk, $2500 is a more typical opening limit." Well why didn't you say that to begin with?!?!?! So then she asks me for collateral! I laughed and advised her toy card limit isn't worth it, but to submit the application without collateral for $2500.
About an hour later they called to say denied and began rattling off my new accounts. When I asked how long they consider an account new, she went into the whole "we can see your account activity for over 5 years...." I just hung up at that point. The good news is, no new credit pull.

activity over 5 years? Thats crazy.. At least there isn't a hard pull.
Sorry to hear that. Amazing what some of these creditors come up with.
LAFCU is pretty stingy.
Only reason why I even care about them is that they're a TU puller.
