Lowe's application

Hey all,

I hadn't applied for a card in a sometime and am wanting to do some things around the house so I figured why not try with Lowe's.  I got the good ole "if you gave us your email, you will receive a response from us in 4-5 days.  If not, you will receive a letter in 7-10 days" message.   They did interestingly enough give me a reference number.  I know this usually means denial but why would they give me a reference # and something I have always wondered about, why don't these places just say we cannot grant you credit at this time, instead of us waiting.

I am working on my credit.  It had dropped below 500 at one point but now I am approaching 600 with TU, which is apparently what they pull.

Anyway, I appreciate all of your support.  This site is an amazing resource and a place to get encouragement.

Thank you

Re: Lowe's application

Synch. Bank does not do recons. When I applied for lowes, after I hit submit it went to a screen to text me a verification code. I entered the password and then received an approval screen.

You can call synch bank and see what the status of the app is. It might be verfication.
