Contrary to what other people say, I think you may have a shot of getting CSP!
It's true that you may have a "thin" file but having an AU card reporting is actually good for you! You stated "the credit history on CK shows up as 15 years with a 24k limit but thats not really my information, right?" Sometimes, credit card companies do count AU card history. Having an AU card can beef up your profile and I dont think your profile is that "thin." 15 years history on an AU card of 24k is great really!!
The issue may be that you do not have any personal card that you open on your own as you stated that this is your first CC. I still would not lose hope though.
Please check Chase application status phone line every day and see what they tell you. If it says 30 day message, keep calling daily still. If it says 2 weeks, you have a chance to get approved. If it says 7-10 days, then it's either a denial or needing verification. I would call reconsideration line if you get 7-10 day message from the status check phone line. If you end up getting denied, call 1-2 times more in different day/time to have them reconsider your case. If all else fails, you can apply for Discover, Amex (typically huge bonus for someone new to Amex), or other cards. Then once you consistently use your first credit cards for 6 months to 1 year, try apply for CSP again. Try not to apply for many credit cards before your Chase application due to its famous 5/24 rule/restriction.
EDIT: never mind... just saw the post that you got approved!! Congrats. I thought you had a chance to get approved due to your AU beefing up your profile anyway.
Congrats on the approval! It's very nice! You may want to still consider going for the Discover IT card, as the cashback will help you on the non-travel stuff the CSP or an Amex. You could get all 3 if you felt you could manage them. Regardless, enjoy!
With a $10K CL on the CSP, maybe you weren't aggressive enough and should have gone for the CSR instead Congrats on the approval OP.

Unfortunately I don't have any offers under the My Offers tab on my chase account, and nothing is offered when I try the pre-qualification either so I will likely have to look elsewhere for the time being. There are 3 inquiries for Experian (one being from the CSP app), 2 for TU (again, one is chase), and only one for Equifax, which I guess chase didn't pull from.
Try these two sites and let us know the results:
