My apping plan. Thoughts?

Husband and I are closing Feb 20th on our home.  We are getting a conv mortgage for 417k.  His income is over 180k a year, I have no reported income, and we have currently no other debt except 1 car loan.

Credit outlook as of today (1/30/2015):

Mine:

Mortgage lender pull 782 EQ, MyFico TU 725, MyFico EX 729

All reports are the same except for 1 30 day late on an old installment loan paid and closed 2 years ago.

Inquiries: TU 13, EX 12.  AAoA:  11 months  Utilization: 2%

Husbands:

Mortgage lender pull 680 EQ, MyFico TU 702, MyFico EX 698

All reports are the same except for 1 30 day late on an old installment loan paid and closed 2 years ago.

2 Bad trade lines:  1 car repo due to fall off in April 2015, 1 paid and closed collection from identity theft from 1 year ago.

Inquiries: TU 10, EX 11, EQ 12.  AAoA:  7 months  Utilization: 7%

Our inquiries are high from the car purchase last year and the house purchase this year.

Ok, with all that said...  With the new house we want to decorate, and get some things done for the house to get it livable.  With our AAoA so short it will not hurt to app spree in my opinion now since we have nothing old that it will kill.  So we want to get some cards and a furniture loan while the getting is good and we can then go into the garden and tend for a few years.

Since we cannot app till after the house closing we are thinking of that day hitting a few of the stores we need to apply for (pottery barn, lowes, home depot, ethan allen, best buy, American Signature and magnolia) then hit the credit card apps through the bank or over the phone.  Or should we do the general credit cards first?  Are there certain stores we should do online instead of in person?  Should we hit every place at once?  And should we spread certain things across each report?  What would be your plan of attack?

Here are a few things we are looking for specifically

Magnolia HiFi - 18k

Ethan Allen - 21k

Home Depot - 2k

Lowes - 2k

Best Buy - 3700

Pottery Barn - 5k

American Signature - 3k

General credit cards - $20 to 30k

American Express we can backdate

These are our goals. I think that we have the ability to get most of this.  Or maybe I'm nuts.  What do you think?

I live my life like I type, fast and with a lot of mistakes.

Your inquiries may hurt you a little bit...Are they mostly mortgage, auto loan related?

yeah.  6 are mortgage with 3 from the current lender.  4 are auto.

I really want to try and get some of this stuff with soft pulls if possible.  but I don't know which will be the easiest to soft pull.

Re: My apping plan. Thoughts?

I hate forgetting which credit account I am signed into.  lol

there are some credit cards that will do soft pulls, correct?   and the ethan allen will be installment, not revolving, so should i go for that first or last?

Only a few store cards will do SP for new account.

Your prime lenders will absolutely want an HP.

Re: My apping plan. Thoughts?

Are we better off doing credit apps in person and over phone rather than online so we can instantly recon if there are any eyebrows raised on the inquiries?  Our payment history looks good, esp after that repo drops off in april.  And our lack of debt is attractive.

Either can work.  Just use the back door numbers to apply if you are going to do it over the phone.  Wait till they process the app, don't mention you're nervous, then recon.  If not doing back door number, then ask for recon, or hang up and call back door numbers.
