MyFico Alerts...

Is it me, or has anyone else not been receiving alerts from MyFico when apping and getting HPs?

I have received notifications from Creditwise and Nerd Wallet, but nothing from MyFico and have appd and had a few HPs Friday and today. They usually come through pretty quickly.

Re: MyFico Alerts...

MyFico has the worst most expensive alerts there are.  I don't use MyFico for any form of credit monitoring.  I pay for the monthly 3B only.

The alerts on the product are easily the most inept, slowest and most useless.  All the free monitoring sites are way better and faster.

Re: MyFico Alerts...

Thank you @ABCD

And you have access to the forums with just the purchase of the monthly report obviously?

On another note, I can use some guidance about getting some lates off my report and with PFD. Can I send you a PM? I have some questions and not sure it should be posted here (I get confused sometimes what should be where)!

Re: MyFico Alerts...

You have access to the forums without paying anything to MyFico at all -- the forums are totally free whether or not you subscribe to 3B/alerts.

Feel free to PM me although some questions are best posted publicly so that others can put input in and others can learn from the answers!  I'd post any PFD questions to the rebuilding forum.

Re: MyFico Alerts...

For me as an ultimate 3b & now ultimate 3b+ myFICO subscriber going on 4 months now I feel as if alerts have gotten significantly slower. MyFico alerts used to be nearly instantaneous & faster than everything except maybe Cap1 creditwise but over the last few months they are practically the slowest. Often times I'm getting alerts 3-4 days after the date the change happened.

I suspect this has something to do with the bank & credit transaction monitoring service they no longer offer sign-ups for - perhaps all the extra monitoring eats up too much processing time & bandwidth resulting in delays for credit alerts.

Re: MyFico Alerts...

I’ve been wondering if something was going on last week.

The forums froze and then I received no changes with Disco statement closed last week. I paid down my balance and no reflection with the bureaus or change in score.

I have another one closing this week at $0 balance and expecting some changes.

I guess I’m forced to garden now. But I would at least like a score increase or something for my hard work.

Re: MyFico Alerts...

FWIW....

I was looking at each of my card's "free fico score" sites. There was one thing I noticed - no update till middle of next week. I don't know if reports are being updated (or perhaps not publically) or what is going on. Maybe this is to prevent fraud during the holiday? I don't know but thought it was weird!
