I applied for NASA FCU credit card, and was declined:
Excessive Open Revolving Accounts and/or Borrowing Capacity. Excessive Recently Opened Trades.
Ah well, there goes the dream...
Sorry to know.

Sorry to hear this. Send them a email to the lending department and request for a recon. That's what I did and they approved me, Good luck!
The email is e-lending@nasafcu.com

... Give people with 630 EX 10k limits, they have done this to people that are very good with there credit such as yourself ![]()
I just don't understand those CU's like NASA. I was also (or so i thought) all but assured of (any limit) CC after first approval for membership, but much to my complete and utter dismay, and despite a reasonable enough credit profile & score i too got one of those similar canned excuses that they can use for denials. I just chalked it up as coming in too late after they already dished out most of the candy like at halloween.
If there is any saving grace at all or consolation in having been shot down for their credit card, it's that BOTH membership & card app only did a SP on EXP. A HP denial is a much more bitter pill to take then a soft one that won't affect our credit at all.

So, other than the CCs in your signature, what other newer TLs have been opened recently, like 5, 7, 10? And, how long ago, whithin 6 months?

Sounds like DC..
One in the same imo.. Seems like money got tight for both of them in my opinion..
I tell you, these credit unions are something else. I have been through a few days of back and forths with DCU. I live with my mother and all the bills are in her name. They always kill me on this proof of residence thing even though it's right there on my photo ID they also ask for. So I'm now on my third attempt and here's where it gets funny. The employee told me to send a bank statement and I don't have one on hand so I sent him a photo copy of a page of checks my local bank gave me with my name and address right there on them. Still wasn't good enough. So I printed an estatement from NASA and just sent it. If it ain't good enough I'll send him one from Alliant and then one from SDFCU. By the way, I am hoping to one day get a pre-approval offer from someone.
