What's going on FICO fam! I've been doing a lot of reading here and just taking some good advice. I was messing around with some pre-approvals and I'm pre-qualified for the Platinum Cash Rewards card with a special lifetime balance transfer APR of 11.9%(not worried about that), purchase APR of 14.99%, and a credit limit of 19,300$. That's the highest limit I've ever been approved for! I want to take the offer just for the CL, but I can't see myself really using this card. Decisions, decisions...what should I do?
We should move thread to applications while you decide ![]()
Save it for a rainy day

That tells you everything that you need to know. Save your inquiries for cards that you will use.
Thanks guys! I've come a long way getting my scores where they are now. I'm not embarrassed to talk about my credit anymore lol. It's just nice to see pre-approvals with high limits. I'm very competitive. Even though we are one, I want to have credit limits like my wife, but I have to realize that her journey was different from mine. She has a BoA Custom Cash card with a limit of 10,200$ that just got increased to 15,200$!! She added me as an authorized user but it's not the same as having my own limits like that. I'll get there though. Hard work and dedication pays off.

Having a pre-approval for that amount shows that you're definitely getting there lol.
So, you would have a really good chance of higher limits than your wife if you wanted 😁
I had been pre approved for 15K from NASA, I apped and was countered with 5K. I accepted, not to waste a hard inquiry.
At the same time, NASA approved me for an auto loan for 35K @ 3.08% interest for 60 months ( no further pull).
