Well I decided to app for NASA membership again since the last one "timed" out. I app'd on the 1st and when I go to check the status it still says pending. The last time I app'd it took only about a few hours before they responded. Wonder what's going on? I see that a SP was done twice on my EX on the 1st of this month.
How long did it take you guys that have the membership to get a response when it went pending?
UPDATE: They just responded, needed to upload documents so I uploaded my passport, SSC, and my Verizon bill for residency. Hope the bill won't be an issue otherwise I have to upload my DMV registration.
Still waiting for a decision...no email no nothing from them geez. Talk about slow.
I ask them for email yesterday and say to check the status online with a link , i do it and of course denied.
with the membership I was emmediatly approved, cc took 2 days before confermation
I just uploaded a change of address printout from the DMV, what I don't get is you have a copy of my credit report, my passport that says I'm US citizen. What difference does it make if I upload my change of address. Anyone can go to the DMV and get that with no proof needed besides an ID card. Starting to be a hassle just trying to get membership. I waited over an hour at the DMV this morning, it better be worth it.
I was instantly approved for membership, then denied for CC...too many accounts or whatever. Funny thing is it took almost 6 weeks to get any paperwork on the membership in the mail...no kidding. Super slow!

+1 Slow, slow, slow. I didn't get instant approval -- had to upload documents and proof of residency, etc. Finally approved, but denied CC. Just received membership documents yesterday (1 month later).
Definitely not the fastest but well-worth it IMO. Plue, we're talking about NASA here - some folks can breeze right through the process while others need further processing - no big deal IME. I applied last year on 9/24, and after a couple little snags during the whole NASA FCU brouhaha last year, I was finally approved on 10/2. I uploaded POI, address verification, etc. If approved, your card could take 2+ weeks to arrive.

I'm waiting to hear back from the supervisor, she said she would review my documents and let me know by email. My proof of residency is the issue, they said I could use a change of adress card but when I went to the DMV to do so they just printed me a temp drivers license printout. I uploaded that and they said I couldn't use that. So I got on chat and the lady spoke with asked the supervisor about it and advised me that if any other membership officer replies to just ingore the responses. lol
Why do you think some people just get instantly approved and others like us have to submit all kinds of documents. I'm not applying for a green card geez.

Sounds like you forgot to include a drop of blood with your application.
