NFCU AR

Does Navy use their AR for cli requests, or do they do a sp/hp? Or, like most everything else with them, is it a matter of 'could be any or all'?

An AR is a SP so that's what they use.  They don't do another one when you request a CLI

Thanks. I didn't know if they just used the latest AR, or did another pull when you push the button.

Re: NFCU AR

When my 3rd statement cuts on Aug 17th..at 91 days, will NFCU have done a AR by then or is it best to call EQ TO SEE IF A SP was done

They do them every two months,  from what I'm told. They did one early July, so the next should be early September.

And that's where my confusion came from, will they use the early July AR pull for your cli request in August, or will they do another pull? I'm still not certain.

My FICO sore from them says it was updated on July 12th. I'm assuming that the updated score is from the AR, because the previous score was from May. What's the update date on yours?

I happened to chat with Navy a few days ago and asked if a request for a CLI is a soft or hard pull.  The rep said all CLI requests are hard pulls.  I don't know if this applies to a pre-approved offer or invite but she said if I hit the CLI button on my Go Rewards it would result in a hard pull. She put emphasis on all CLI requests are hard pulls.  With that in mind I did not click on the CLI.  Just my two cents.

Many have reported having similar conversations with a NFCU CSR on the phone, and it makes sense as it expedites the conversation.

If they tell everyone to expect a HP nobody can complain later if/when it does happen, and if it so happens that there is no HP they aren't likely to get a complaint about that, either.  Trying to explain the nuances of the every-other month AR - not to mention that even then there can be a HP - would take too much time and would open them up to having to deal with misunderstandings and complaints.

Telling everybody to expect a HP keeps things simple.  Smiley Happy

So, I think we've established that nobody really knows, or at least it can/will/may/has/hasn't/sometimes/maybe be different for everyone, and there is no absolute answer.
