I requested for my Go Rewards & Cash rewards cards to reveive a CLI. it went to review. so i automatically sent them a message explaining why i was requesting an increase. have had both cards for over a year. never late. never minimum paid and still no CLI. they replied late last night with this message.
Thank you for the continued use of your Navy Federal credit card account. Our records indicate that a credit card limit increase application has been submitted, and is currently under review. If approved, the new credit limit will be reflected in your Navy Federal Online® account access within two business days. The Credit Card Lending Team will notify you in writing upon disapproval. If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know.
normally when i request a CLI and they reply its always the reason for denial. So hopefully this time it will be an actual CLI. i can only hope.
Good luck... I've been in similar situation and been denied everytime... minimal hard pulls, low utilizations, fico in low 700's, no derogs/baddies... and yet no NFCU love on the CLI.
I have the GO Rewards card and I am beginning to think the criteria for CLI is different than their other cards bc I keep seeing huge CLI's on their other cards from members on here with lower data points.
Hopefully they show you some love.

I was initially approved for Gorewards with a $22,100 starting line. At 91 days I asked for a CLI of 5k and was instantly approved, no review. Everyone is different. You may be at their max internal limit.

I applied for a cli last week and went from $25k to $33k (no POI as well). Feeling brave I applied for their new AmEx 2 days ago. It was approved today but for $600 lol at some point you just hit that ceiling Herrera.
keep your fingers crossed and keep us posted when you hear back! Good luck!
I was on their internal max limit last month and was approved for their Amex today for $5k... we all know that $600 you got will grow 😉
Got a $400 increase on my cash rewards after 4 statements. 1.8k to 2.2k. Got a 24 hour notice before the limit increased. Applied for platinum card 10 minutes after noticing the increase in cash rewards and was approved for 13.3k. Thinking about reconing the cash rewards cli if thats possible.

Well they ended up denying me. I sent in a recon and they still denied me. So both of my nfcu cards will go into the sock drawer and I will just use my discover & BOA card from here on out. NFCU isn't for everyone I guess
I will never understand this stance. I get being turned down stinks, don't get me wrong.. It looks like your BofA and Discover are both secured cards and NFCU has given you two unsecured cards. NFCU is already treating you better than other lenders and gave you a chance when others didn't. Not using the cards isn't going to entice them to give you a CLI. Why not continue to use them, pay them off and try again once things have aged?
