Re: NFCU CLI

Sorry to hear that , Navy Fed is a strange duck , I have had a cc wth them for almost 10 mths , I had to recon my approval back last summer so they gave me a 500SL , back then I was still very early on in my rebuilding and still had baddies , well now that my reports are clean and my scores have went up drastically they still won't give me a CLI or Cloc for that matter , so I'm stuck at 500 CL

Navy Federal Response 04/17/2017 :
Thank you for your message. We received your inquiry for reconsideration on your line of credit. Because we take our members' concerns seriously, we conducted a second review of your application. After careful consideration, we have determined that you do not qualify for any additional credit at this time due to your account is too new. Our records indicate your GOREWARDS Visa account has been opened since February 2, 2017. Every financial institution has its own guidelines and qualification factors to determine a line of credit. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to increase your line of credit.

In addition, it is suggested that you demonstrate creditworthiness by properly maintaining your existing account for an extended period of time before requesting a credit line increase.  At the time your account was processed you were approved for the maximum you qualified for. If you have any questions, please contact us anytime at 888-842-6328.

When is there next AR and should I try it again then?

Re: NFCU CLI

From reading their response, it looks like your card was opened February 2nd. Give it until after May 2nd. That'll put you at 90+ days the account has been open and a fresh AR.

Re: NFCU CLI

Since the account wasn't opened until Feb 2, the first statement cut probably wasn't until end of Feb, early March. Somewhat agree with FloridaElement, wait until after May 2 to try again. But if it were me, I would wait for 6 statements to cut because their response is very specific about this being a "new" account, telling you how to demonstrate creditworthiness by maintaining it an "extended" amount of time before requesting a CLI, and letting you know they gave you the maximum CL allowed when you were approved. Good luck.

Re: NFCU CLI

They go by 90 calender days, which would put you at May 7th.
