Just curious what of starting limit NFCU gives out for shorter credit history if you have a clean file? I am an AU on a NFCU Amex with a higher limit but it's only about 4 months old. Would they considering the AU card in deciding limits or just go off my cards alone?
Has anyone had good success getting a decent limit with navy with a short credit history or are you most likley most likely stuck with $500-1000 ?
I have two credit card accounts, 7 and 6 months old. Current limits $500 and $500.
i have a SSL with Navy at 8% opened in June
I am an AU on a 10k Navy card opened in Aug.
Util, 2% over all and either 0-2% per card.
scores are all around 770, no baddies or lates.
i know they grow, but I wanted at least a decent limit to take advantage of the 0% Apr promo they have going on without jacking up my utilization over the holidays. I'd also be scared of if I started off with a $500 it being bucketed and not having as good growth potential (like my cap 1 and disco).
Does Navy take on consideration AU accounts?

Unless I am missing something, it would seem that you would be in line for a nice starting limit with a Navy card. Have you tried?

It looks like OP has Discover and Cap1... If I were a betting man, I would say NFCU gives up a SL 5K or higher here. I guess stated income comes into play but OP is in a very good spot.
