Re: NFCU Denial - UGH

I went over my limit for 2 days on my 99/500 card, but thankfully I paid it down before it reported. I forgot there was an annual fee on the card. I would say I learned my lesson, but at the time I had no choice but to max the card because it was an emergency. Just happened to come at the time when the AF was ready to charge. I just hope it doesn't hurt my chances of becoming unsecured.

How does one send via secure message. I went to the AMC message area via the link they sent me and then to the tab for sending them messages, but saw no place to upload documents. How do you send the documents along with the request for a recon?

Why would a denial for a “few recent collections” “blow your mind”?

Do you feel entitled to a card? NFCU may be generous but they still evaluate risk.

The high balance a while back has no bearing on the denial, as utilization has no memory

Doesn't each card on your report say the highest the balance has ever been at any point in time though? I can't remember if this shows everywhere I check my CRs or not but I think they'd be able to see that when they ran the report, or at least if they did manual UW - because if highest balance was more than the CL they could notice it that way right? I could be wrong here of course, I'm pretty much just thinking out loud lol

@Also @mazda I think the mind blowing part was that they didn't even mention those recent collections in the denial (although I guess just because they didn't mention it doesn't necessarily mean they didn't weigh that in their decision, just odd that they didn't bring it up anywhere I think was the point)
