NFCU: Different rules for different cards

Fico's in the low 700's... less than 20% utilization... 3 mortgage related hard pulls back in June... still can't get an increase on my GoRewards Visa

I've seen folks on here get huge CLI's from NFCU with similar or worse data points.

Is NFCU more restrictive/picky with certain programs?

Re: NFCU: Different rules for different cards

Honestly Iit;s hard to say with NFCU. I have been banking with them for over 2 years but just got a CC in May. App'd for CLI last week- denied, app'd for a 2nd card at the same time, denied. Went yesterday and app'd for 2nd card instant approval (still no CLI). I've seen the huge increases for those with low scores, high util and less income. I would call and ask honestly. Recon, tell them why you should get an increase and describe your credit profile (any baddies, lates, etc.) as only you can. Alot of times it's a computer making the decision but you can ask for a manuel review. Recon, navy is a great CU and always willing to help.

Remember that when reading you usually don't get the ENTIRE profile. You also have no idea about usage, income or DTI. Getting a CLI is not all about score Smiley Happy
