NFCU Membership/CC APP

When apping for NFCU membership/CC/CLOC could I include my spouses income? I can send in paystubs if necessary.

PenFed will not allow “household” income only personal income which is why I decided not to join. If it is the same for NFCU I would have to app for a joint account worst case scenario?

Combined income: $110K
I recently resigned due to health issues.
Personal benefits yearly: $7200
Overall Credit: $8,380
Available Credit: $4,000
Paying off $3500 by the end of Feb.
Self lender not included: $1700 fully paid June 19’

I am looking to app for the NFCU PLAT upon “membership approval” for a BT transfer. I also considered NFCU GO Rewards.

Re: NFCU Membership/CC APP

Here is Navy's CC Application Income Disclosure:

Income Disclosure

Examples of income that may be included are your salary, wages, interest, dividends, rental income, retirement benefits, public assistance, and another person's income that you can access as a result of a regular direct deposit or transfer to a savings or checking account you own. If you are 21 or older, you may also include another person's income that is used to pay your expenses.

Alimony, child support, or separate maintenance income need not be revealed if you do not wish to have it considered for repaying this obligation. In order to use certain types of income, an established history or evidence of continuance may be required.

Good Luck!

@kugel

Per the income disclosure in post 2, I believe the short answer is yes.

"If you are 21 or older, you may also include another person's income that is used to pay your expenses."

Re: NFCU Membership/CC APP

Just be careful if your brother doesnt actually live with you or there are any discepancies. My dad lives across the street i would love to include his income lol but not worth it in the end should things go south. Im no expert but in this day and age there is bound to be ways for them to verify ones income or access to. Do everything by the book imo because if things ever NOT add up ALL we suffer not just the sponsered. Mho of course
