NFCU More Rewards cli in limbo..

I'm at $33k and one more cli away from being at the max $80k between our 2 cards. I didn't keep a good record of when my last cli on the More Rewards card was and attempted a couple weeks ago and got the "under review" message. I never get those, usually I am approved immediately. Turns out the reason for denial was I recently received a cli, meaning to soon to try again. I estimated it the best I could and tried again this morning and got the same "under review" response.

I phoned them up and i was told my last cli was 12/24/23 which according to google puts me at 182 days today. I did notice under the statements section January through March they don't even show a statement and I am sure I didn't even use the card in those months. Could that possibly have anything to do with the timing if  "NOT" approved for the cli with today's request?

Re: NFCU More Rewards cli in limbo..

Being it was 12/24/23, and the following day was a holiday, calculating 12/26/23 to today is 180 days... I'd say that you were a just bit too early in your CLI request.

Good point, I wasn't even thinking about the next day being a holiday. Guess I will just wait until Tuesday maybe and resubmit it again unless they miraculously approve it.

Re: NFCU More Rewards cli in limbo..

Agree it's probably just timing. I had something similar happened to me for one of my CLIs for a Navy card. No biggie.

Cant edit to add to the OP so ill update here for future reference and DP's. Ended up being granted my final cli from them the next day. That was the first time it wasn't instant and i received that under review message but i assume it was just due to being on a weekend after hours. I didn't even get a email response or letter in mail. Just logged in the next day and saw the card limit at $40k.

So in a years time frame opened the Flagship first on 6/23/23 and then the More Rewards on 9/24/23 I was able to achieve the max total CL with NFCU of $80k.  They have been really good to me.

Awesome, any thought on closing one and making the Flagship 80k? Navy is outstanding. I started out at $500 CR to now $80k on two cards but have had multiple cards and multiple credit relocation as well Apr reductions.  The only institution that I don't mind giving interest to because not only have they helped me so much but I know , at least to my mind, that interest helps them lend to other members like me who may need itSmiley Happy
