NFCU Secured nRewards card didn't unsecure..

My NFCU nRewards card hit 13 months on 8/27 and did not automatically unsecure. I apped on 8/29 and was approved for Cash Rewards card on 9/1 after 3-5 day msg for $5000..I sent a SM and got it bumped up to $7500. I want to know if it's possible to app for the Flagship card and get approved because that will make 3 cards with them..my nRewards card has a $500 limit.

You could always call and ask. They may be able to convert it to unsecured.

I did and was told it will be reviewed monthly from now on to see if it qualifies. They said I could apply for new card and I did. But now I'm thinking to just apply to another card and just close the secured one out. I've heard on here where even after 2 years some people still have their secured card.

I think navy only allows you two cards with them. I have secured nrewards as well and Visa signature

You can have 1 of every card navy has, If you qualify!

I have 3... Cash, Flagship, Platinum.

I wonder should I app now or wait 3 statements and AR to see if I can grow the CashRewards card first.

might give it 30 days, I had same issues , after I applied for another card , and was approved with in the next 2 weeks i think , my secured card got unsecured and CLI too. they told me same stuff as they told u..

I've had mine for 19 months, it has not unsecured and they told me the same thing- that they review them monthly.

I did. No go for me. I'm going to wait about 6 months and try again.
