That's the way to look at it, I was mad that it took Navy to process my application that took over 5 weeks and in that time after closing on my home I accrued some debt (house related) and knew my util would rise and score go down and wanted a CC before that happened and it didn't-score went down and I still applied and approved for $5500 but in 1 month should go to 22-24k! Happy Veteran nonetheless
Well everyone I am happy to report that I have just received a "YOU'RE APPROVED! Expect your card in 5-7 business days" text message!!! OMG I'm so excited!!! Thank you all so much!! Not sure of my SL yet but at this point I don't care lol I'll update when I find out but I expect $500 which would be just fine! Guess I'll head off to the garden now!!
Thank you iblitz25!!! Yes NFCU is great!!

Congratulations!!
If you decide that you do really want to know you can call in and they will tell you all the details over the phone. SL, APR...etc.
Okay the suspense was killing me!!! I expected $500 but I almost dropped the phone when the rep told me that my SL was $3k!! APR is high at 16.15 but beggars can't be choosers!!! Wow!! Loving Navy more and more by the minute. My highest SL ever!!
Thanks ScarlettClone!!!

AMAZING -- NFCU is really weird; they are great for folks with Fico in the 600's ....above that all bets are off
My wife - with TU of 700+ was denied for a CC with them, and then 3 months later was approved for 1K - clean TU, just had a discharged Ch 13 - that has now fallen off
same situation for me - and I make 168K a year - got the same 1K SL - my lowest limit by far (I have limits on other cards up to 20K per carrd, just approved for Amex BCE for 5K SL)
my util is between 2-8%
wife's is about 12%
