NFCU cashRewards

Just got the NFCU welcome email today (NLUS method)!  Now I want to app for the cashRewards card, although I have a few reservations.

My Inquiries are as follows

TU: 3 (Was zero a few weeks ago)

• 1 Student Loan HP (Yesterday)
• 1 HP CLI from Discover
• 1 NFCU Membership Initial Pull

EXP: 2

• One AMEX Everday HP from 2014
• One AMEX PRG HP from 2015

EQ: 0

I would love if NFCU would pull EQ for the cashRewards app, although I've heard they may pull TU...  Do you think these 3 recent HP on TU would be an issue?

Also - I may have to take out one more student loan in the next few days - not sure from which lender yet (just looked into NFCU student loans - great rates, may go with them).

You are VERY low on HP's.. You are fine either with EQ or TU HP or whatever... Go for it and enjoy!

According to the info I have, NFCU pulls from TU and EQ.

And applied for cc still in review
My tu is 675 AAOA 2 years
discharged bk in December 2015 I have 4 cards in the last 6 months totals 10k all together zero utilization??

From what I have read, kugel, if you joined via the Navy League, you may be in for a long wait.  Evidently, NFCU was inundated by those who joined the Navy League in order to join the NFCU and ask for credit cards.

I joined via the Navy League method, my TU score used came back in the 720s with lots of new accounts and a lot of balances. Was instantly approved for Cash Rewards Visa and PLOC. But if something goes into review, it can a little while. Although they want to get back to you in an hour, it can take a bit longer. my experience things moved pretty quickly. I did do this back in june though,  i applied via faxing my application in and was approved for membership and products all in the same day. 

your scores sound for them and from what ive read, they are BK friendly.

With the cc from my experience and the TONS OF research I have done , it's quite normal to get a review message , it can take up to 3 days . Sometimes sooner than that sometimes longer as they may need additional info from you . How long has it been since you applied . And OP you are just fine no matter which one they pull .
