NFCU secured offer

I finally joined NFCU today and I’m super excited about building a relationship with them! I want to app for their secured card to start building this relationship and also because I need a third card. I’m rebuilding so I’m trying to be careful about inquiries ATM. Under my “offers” it shows the secured card. Is this a pre-approval? If so, is it fairly likely I’ll be approved? Will it be a HP?

I don't know your stats. Offers could be marketing. However, you should stand a good chance at obtaining the secured card.

I agree Secured cards are easily offered from what I've noticed even with other Banks/CU so you should be fine but expect a HP yes

I joined NFCU about 2 months ago. I immediately applied for the secured card. Just make sure you have the amount you want for the Sl in your savings with them before app and you should have no problem. DP show that around 6-7 months of on time payments they will start to review for graduation to unsecured card. Congratulations on joining NFCU and good luck!

Definitely go for it as it's a great way to get your foot in the door!!  I joined in February and picked up the secured card in July.  Hopefully I'll be unsecuring within the next few statements.
