I just wanted to share my experience post bk for anyone else who is in the same situation. For the CLOC - I was initally approved for a $500 CLOC in April. Yesterday I requested a CLI to $5000 (reading that they usually counter with something lower if not approved for full amount) It went to the 2 hour review, but then a little while later got the email that it was denied. womp womp. I will update with the reason why whenever I get the letter. I haven't gotten any alerts yet about a HP but I'm sure it will come eventually.
Update: I got the alert now and they pulled EQ.
Last month I tried to get a 2nd card. My first had started out secured and opened in March. 2nd card was denied, the reason was bankruptcy. Tried for a recon via secure message but that was a no go. Then I had called earlier this month also and asked them to check if I was pre-qualified (just in case there might be a difference in the new month) but I had no offers.
I am thinking I have already milked NFCU for whatever they are willing to give me for now. I was hoping to get one more card by the end of this month, because I am planning to buy a house at the end of next year so don't want any new accounts after this. But it's not looking good (capital one has no offers still even after a year post bk- also Discover has no offers on a 2nd card and won't unsecure me). I think I will have to settle with what I've got til 2021.
It takes some time to get the door fully open until you get thru it. You didnt mention when you were DC'ed. You got what would be expected if it was a recent DC. As time goes by. Then the door will open more and then you can finally walk thru it. Takes time and prove yourself you can handle credit after BK. It will get easier as time goes by and your post BK history ages and scores go up. This is just a genral post not knowing who got burned and other past negs.
