Hi, Im new here. Hopefully this isnt a redundant question...but...I currently have the Navy Cash back card approved 11/21. From reading previous posts it seems as though at 91 days you can request new card for more than likely higher limit than 1st card and also request CLI on 1st credit card simltaneously?? My question is technically how do I make the request. Do I call and say I want to apply for a new card and request a limit increase in same conversation? Also does making the request around the same time avoid multiple inquiries or will I recieve one on Transunion for the new card and equifax on the CLI....one more question..please and thank you...does the Navy Amex tend to have higher starting lines than the others..flagship etc???This forum is phenomonal and I appreciate any information provided.

it doesn't matter if you call to apply or do that on the apps by yourself, there's no better way when it come to call or do it through the apps by yourself. you'll get a hp on TU for the new app and another hp on EQ for the cli request. according to data the Flagship has a minimum 5000$ SL. so I think the Flagship has the highest starting limit among all the NFCU cards.

I tried applying for the Flagship Rewards card last week, just received my denial letter today. Hit max unsecured limit with Navy Fed. Have a 341 Navy Fed Credit score, says the max it goes is a 450.

Thank you very much

Hi Matt
What is your max with NFCU (including any CLOC or other NFCU unsecured loans)? When did you get your NFCU AmX? How is your DTI?

Interesting, that's the same reason I got on my recent CLI attempt. Asked for $8K increase, got $4K making my CL $8K.
Thye also didn't provide a score. So based off that letter, seems it would be useless for me to apply for another card with them.
Don't know that a HP would net any difference.

As I'm sure you already know, a few months can make a difference. I was denied a CLI three months ago for "max unsecured limt" and tried again recently and got it. (Just a 1K CLI, though—I was too skeeeeered to ask for more!
) I think I'm going to give them maybe six more months (or more?) before I try for my third card.
Well considering they're HP happy, I thought I'd take shot and make up for all the times it would be a HP to aks for more! lol
If the SP sticks around, then I'll probably hit them up again in 6 to see what happens. If HP come back in style, then I'll have to go back to waiting for the 12 month auto increase. Which normally wouldn't be an issue. But some people around here got me hooked on those various SP CLI's from Disco etc. ![]()
