Navy fed message

I got this message:Your application has been accepted and is currently being reviewed. The processing time for a credit card application is 24 hours unless additional information is needed.

I've read that this is okay news and likely to be approved? I guess I just need to be more patient haha

Re: Navy fed message

If your profile isn't good enough for an instant approval, it goes to manual review. Most people applying for a CLI see this as an eventual denial. I received the message for my first card and I got an approval text less than an hour later. Every other time I've gotten it, it's been a denial no matter what I was applying for. I should note though that I dont have a long history with them and my profile isn't that strong.

Re: Navy fed message

My second NFCU card the other day went to review and was approved in about 36hrs for $15k. Today the CLI on my first card went to review and was approved about 6hrs later for $1k. Both ended up being HP.

Re: Navy fed message

When I got my cashRewards card last week, I put in the application right after joining NFCU, got the "under review" message, and then got the approval text message about an hour later, with the account information being added to my page the next morning. The funny thing is that, even though I've now received and activated my card, the application status still displays as "under review"!

Re: Navy fed message

OP - I would recommend calling NFCU to see what's going on. It could be possible that they need verification or other information.

Re: Navy fed message

I got this message for a CLI and was denied!  But, the previous week was approved for my 2nd card (AMEX) with a 25,000 CL. 1st card Cash Rewards 10,000 CL.  I called and was told I would get a letter in which I have not received as of yet.  I was told that it was denied likely for too soon for CLI.  I need to call just to find out exactly why.
