so my 91 days was up went to apply got denied account too new called customer service said no cli until 1 year oh well

going to try amex next month 90 days is due maybe better luck with them

Just checked app got approved guess It wasn't 91 days yet it was for the full 8k new limit 15k

Maybe you tried to early. 1yr for CLI?? 🤔 Are you sure it was 91+ days and 3 full statements?

I  never heard of one year at NFCU except when an allocation change or interest reduction is involved.

You state you waited 91 days but perhaps 3 full statements didnt elapse. Check your online account statement and your statement dates will be on there. I have 2 NFCU cc's amd both of them had a partial first statement so i had to wait until the 4th month well beyond 91 days. 

Whenever you request a cli do it online, if you call in you will be hit with an HP. ymmv

i opened the account on dec 10 first statement cut on jan 9 next one was feb 9 and now march 9. just got off the phone with another agent she said some get an increase at 91 days but others at 6 months i guess i'll believe her so that will be in june.

kinda want to apply for a second card but after this denial not too sure anymore have to be worth the hp like a 15k plus limit

the letter should tell you if you were denied for applying too early or for being at your unsecured limit 

once you know that, you'll know how to proceed

didnt need the letter everyone that i talked to except one person said account is too new they dont do 91 days cli. One lady got pretty angry that i mention the 91 days cli. 6 months seems to be it atleast for me

Bizarre that she got angry and/or annoyed.

@kickhard88  keep in mind you can request up to $8k next time you ask, just hope the lady(UW) doesn't get mad about that too.

Just a thought, if you were denied for it being too soon, perhaps you were just off by a day. You say you opened the account December 10th, 2022, and you're right, 91 days from then would be today, March 11th, 2023, but did you open it late in the day on December 10th by chance? Cause maybe it was counted as if you opened it the 11th, meaning your 91 days would actually be tomorrow, March 12, 2023.

no hurt in trying still got the under review will see if not just lower my expectation and just try in june. Still have other cards like disco and care credit that gives me cli with no problems now just need amex to follow thanks anyway
