Need CC with cashMy back thats simple.

Hey yall Im going to grad school and over the past two years I realized I hate having 7 credit cards to choose from in my wallet when I buy something. It's too much clutter and it's too annoying to have to pay 7 different cards each month. I am looking to get a non revolving category cash back card which I can use as my main card (preferrably a visa or master card since not everywhere accepts amex). I was looking at the citi double cash card because it's 2% all the time (you just cant cash in until you have 25$). My ideal situation is to have 1 card I use all the time and I always pay in full and never spend more than I have. What card do you recommend? I have high credit (760+) but low AAoA only 2 years but oldest account is 6 years and a couple months. My last CC app in the last year was in november and before that I had an app spree in dec 2013 (not sure if that scares credit card companies). I have 9 inquiries but only 1 in the last year. What card is right?

I like the Amex Blue Cash Preferred. It gets you 6% back on groceries, as long as where you buy them codes it as groceries. You can check each purchase on your payment for the category. So far, Wegman's, the liquor store attached to it, and Vitamin Shoppe all code as groceries for me. You get 3% at major dept stores. The list is on the Amex website. As well as 3% back at gas stations. For me, it covers all the basic necessities minus restaurants, but you would get 1% at those as well, since it's 1% for all other purchases. It just depends on preference. Some prefer the Double Cash because it's a flat 2% on every purchase. To each their own.

I'm going to say the easiest no hassle cashback card would be Capital One's Quicksilver, but Citi's Double Cash is a 2% cashback card, so you'd earn more back than the Quicksilver.

I also have several cards and I think I'll get a couple more. I don't have all of them in my wallet. Each month I decide which 2 cards I keep with me, the others stay at home. If I need gas I take Freedom this quarter, Discover for Amazon, etc. Right now I have Venture and Amex ED, I'm seeking bonus and CLI on those cards.
