Need advice on rebuild cards and more

After 15 years of great credit, I had no choice but to burn Chase, Citi, AmEx, Barclays and CapOne due to the WF  2008 financial crisis. My current FICO's are in the 750 to 770 range. No lates, never a BK, UTIL 7%, AAoA  1.8 years,  AoOA  3.11 years. I used OpenSky secured card three years ago as a rebuild card that was opened at $500, now $600 due to automatic CLI. I have another OpenSky Gold CC that amazingly was given to me (not secured) with a $500 SL. Both have annual fees. I understand the math on AF's, but I'm not that worried about it at this point. In addition, I have NFCU Flagship ($28K) and NFCU more Rewards ($25K). Then there's my paltry WF Autograph ($1K). CLI denied after six statements even after going through Corporate Office. Reason for denial: "Time on Books (meaning insufficient experience with present account".

I want to plunk some money down in another bank (thinking BOA) and get another CC for an international ticket purchase with no interest 12-18 months. My concerns are: 1) we know credit has no memory but maybe my rebuild cards are hurting me and WF saw my small CL's and figured out my history 2) after taking a HP for $1K and no present CLI, I'm being SO careful, so what is the concensus on BOA or maybe another bank is better 3) I have a max of 2 INQ, some bureaus are at 0. Should I just plunk the money down at NFCU because they have been so generous, but then I'm paying INT for my ticket. Yes, I could just pay for the ticket but trying to maintain all the cash I can because of current economic conditions. Any help would be appreciated!

With good scores,   low inquiries , and assuming good income you should be able to waste a hp with almost any lender to get another cc with a 0% intro. Discover, Citi, Chase, BOA, etc. I would just go for the card you have interest in . Sl may be good or not but should be sufficient to get a ticket. By the way Navy IS awesome and I myself have no issue paying them interest which unfortunately have to do latelySmiley Wink. Good luck
