No Pre Anything on US Bank Or Citi

Tried for US Bank last year was told no same as this year weird...

I never got offered any thing with the citi prequalify, I  had thought is was because of being on their blacklist (bk 2005). But I finally just did a cold app and was approved

Citi doesn't like me either. Well, at least their pre-approval tool anyway. I have, every now and then, went to the pre-app page and gotten the same "Sorry..." message. Even now with low UTIL, some "premium" cards and scores in the 700's, I still get nothing. The only reason I don't go for the Costco card (which is really the only that's of real interest to me from Citi) is because I don't really want to waste a HP in vain. I'm also hopping to get some growth in the Garden for a while (yeah...good luck with that!).

I never get anything to prequal on Citi’s site, but I get most cards to show on Citi’s score card.

I don't expect to get anything on Citi's prequal site for at least the next few years due to having included a Citi mortgage and a Best Buy card in my 2014 BK. I've read that I might be able to get another cobranded Citi card such as the Costco Visa, but it's also reported that cards obtained in such circumstances won't grow beyond their SL's.

US Bank is more perplexing. I've never been able to get a prequal offer on their site even though I've never had a relationship of any sort with them, much less ever included any of their accounts in a BK filing. (EDIT: I took a look at the credit pulls database. The results are old so shouldn't be taken as definitive, but it looks like US Bank is looking for people with mid-700's scores and I have a ways to go before I get there.)

I never get any prequals from Citi. Same thing for Home Depot. Whats strange is that I get I get ITA letters for the Simplicity and DC cards. I also never get any prequals from Cap1 despite having two accounts with them that are each 10+ years old

I believe this is accurate.. I cold apped for a US Bank Sig Visa, my first lol and was approved for $8000 SL.

My TU is/was 730. I did have a small Fred Meyer Reward Visa with them ($1500. CL). CLI with US are a HP so I apped for the new card rather than take a HP for a CLI.
