We just landed a phenomenal condo and of course that means I NEED a new TV. I'd like to take advantage of their interest free periods. I hope I have all the info needed in my sig and if not, please ask and I'll tell...haha. I'd like at least a $2K limit and more if possible so I don't run such high utilization on that card. I have currently $100 in credit card debt.
We aren't moving for a few months so I thought of letting my credit improve (if at all) for the next few months to help!
Thanks!

I think you have a good shot at their store cards but have you looked into a Capital One Venture or QS that offers 0% financing? Be much better in the long run than a store card.

I have both of those already. The venture one has 6 months left in 0%. I suppose I could get another one and combine it. I'm also Leary of having the majority of my credit (which I already do) with 1 issuer. Of my $50K $36K of it is with cap 1.
Oh ok. 6 months isn't long enough to pay off the tv? I'd really try to use or get something other than a store card. Have you tried Citi's pre approval site to see if anything shows up?

It would be honestly. I also try to stay away from store cards as well, in fact I have 0. We have to float rent at 2 places for 3 months so it'll be tight but I'm sure I could do it.
If you're gonna have to pay rent at 2 places then I wouldn't worry about the TV just yet. Take care of what's important first then do what you want.

You might try HH Gregg. Haven't used them in years however I noticed they have specials from time to time with no interest terms of 12+months. Of course it all depends on the amount you're going to spend on your TV. Also too I have a BB Visa and they too offer extended periods from time to time of 12+months. I agree with Irish about store cards, however their interest free terms come in handy. Have you thought about Amazon Store Card? Amazon often has great prices on TVs as well as no interest promotional periods. Depending on what state you live in you could be sales tax free on your purchase. Some sellers on Amazon offer free shipping as well.
Congrats on your new place!!!
AirBnB your old place to make money off it and get amazon card 24 mo 0% apr on purchases over 5 or 600$ (im assuming your tv will be at least 2-4 times that)
easy to qualify for
amazon card you get everything from home goods, electronics, gun care lol, bedding, furniture etc all 2day delivery free of charge cant lose. Bestbuy i used once for a tv and then it was closed down because I dont need a new tv every 6 months...or do i
@ OP
Best Buy might be hard to get a card from.
There's a certain user in these boards whose close friend has millions and millions of dollars in assets and many more in his bank account. His friend owns land in five different states. Anyway, he and his friend went to Best Buy and his friend applied for a Best Buy line of credit -denied. Yup. They didn't approve him.
As a matter of fact, I was talking about that earlier today...
So, best of luck if you apply.
