PayPal 2% denial Possible Max exposure for my income?

I am wondering if it is because I already have PayPal credit through Comenity?

I have not received the letter yet the page just said we cannot extend credit to you at this time.

Pulled Transunion 14 inquiries at the time.

It shows that they pulled Transunion twice I have no clue why. In any event, I am not going to app for any more new credit because it seems my scores and report does not merit any new credit.

Re: PayPal 2% denial Possible Max exposure for my income?

While I don't think it's allowable to have both Commenity PayPal and Synchrony PayPal accounts tied to the same PayPal account, I do know of people who have both accounts tied to different PayPal accounts (different email addresses).

In short, I don't think one account has anything to do with the other...however, when Synchrony takes over PayPal Credit, that may be a different story.

From my understanding you can now have both cards. Synchrony max exposure is 100k so it may just be a different issue. Please update us on what the reason for denial says.Smiley Happy

They changed the rules, you can now have both cards - I do! And they're tied to the same account I've had for years.

PayPal Credit is Comenity right and the PayPal MC (2%) is Synchrony?

For now. Sychrony is taking over the PayPal credit accounts this year. I think in the 2nd or 3rd quarter sometime? So they'll have both accounts at that point. There's speculation the PayPal credit tradeline will no longer be hidden once they do.

I will be sure to update everyone! One of my CC's is reporting 88% utilization so that may have scared them. This is the first time I have let a card report that high. I had decided to balance transfer and consolidate some expenses into one card that I did not use otherwise.

I have both Paypal 2% Mastercard (Synchrony) and Paypal Credit (Comenity) open and attached to the same Paypal account. Comenity account was opened in June and Synchrony account opened in July. I did get the message about "cannot open an account for you at this time" when I first tried for the Comenity account in June. At that time I had the Paypal Business Debit Mastercard attached to my account. I actually closed the Debit Mastercard and tried again. Same message. Called Comenity and asked why I wasn't allowed to even apply and kept getting the same message. It was some kind of computer glitch. The representative fixed it, I hung up, re-tried and instantly approved. Synchrony kept sending me daily emails inviting me to apply. I did, instant approval.

When I called the rep was not very helpful he said your reasons for denial are highly confidential so I cannot help or explain why you were denied just wait for the letter so I am.
