Paypal extras credit card

Got an interesting special promotion email from Synchrony today for paypal extras cc.
Has a 2% all the time cash back on all purchases and any earned cash back is applied to paypal balance. Also had a lowish 16.24 apr. Dont think this is anything I'd ever want but thought it was interesting.
I rarely shop at any paypal sources ie ebay. Mostly at amazon, and have chase card for that.
Thought I'd share, haven't seen this promotion before.

An APR under 23% on a Synchrony card? How is that possible? Smiley Tongue

Unbelievable isn't it. Makes me almost want to get it.
If it had a 0% period I probably would get it.

Re: Paypal extras credit card

It appears to be a targeted offer (I just checked, and they are still offering me only the 'old' 3/2/1 points card).

Here's a DoctorOfCredit review on it:

I agree that at 16.24%, 2% rewards on general spend and no redemption threshold this actually isn't that bad... especially if the Citi Double Cash and Fidelity Visa are out of reach.

Re: Paypal extras credit card

Unless you carry a balance, it doesn't really matter. I use mine as a gas card for now until I obtain one that rewards a higher ℅. I basically just use them for the rebates, I'm not gonna carry a balance.

Re: Paypal extras credit card

Some of Synchronys APR's are ok. Like the Stash Visa

Re: Paypal extras credit card

FYI. I don't think paypal MC is actually 2%. More like 1.68%... rewards points seem to be worth .83% each..

Re: Paypal extras credit card

What is the trick if you already stuck with Bill Me Later attached to PayPal? Do I have to close bill me later and then apply for the PayPal credit card? I don't own a business so I only have one PayPal account
