There was no name calling.......well except saying Penfed was a joke. But you said that. Your font was personal because of your denial.
We responded (almost every response was from someone who had filed BK that I know of) because Penfed had been good to us. If a new member saw your post, they could miss out on a great opportunity due to your post.
I definitely didn't see any "hating"......just a bit of "reality". We got approved for Penfed.
Good luck to you!
Hope? Really? C'mon now.

As soon as I mention BK involved all the haters come out and the name calling LOL!
No hating from anyone. Just merely stating the facts. BK is a risk, regardless of if your FICO8 is 680 (btw, hey use NexGen, NOT Fico8)
I have BK showing on my Eq - it's a 8.5 year old dismissal, which will stay on until its 10 years old.
Like I said in an earlier post, give them time. Let your account sit there for another 6 months or so, I would imagine that with good current history that you will be able to get an approval then...
Yes! Got approved! Took 6 calls to a bunch of loan officers but it worked! Got approved for $5000.
Time to get that free $100!!!

Congrats on the approval.
Can I assume you now recsind what you said about Penfed prior? ![]()
Most here agree PenFed is pretty sweet!

The CSR's are always very friendly.
But I have spoken to a wise guy or two in the lending dept in the past.
I'm not sure I would call them sweet or anything, considering it took 6 or 7 phone calls, but eventually I always get it.
They finally approved me after I faxed in my taxes, I have a full time job along with a real estate business I own and eBay business
with a total of $325k a year. I guess I had to "show me the money" to get it.
