I have a Secured Capital One Card, and it'sbeen 10 months now with a $300 automatic CLI with a SP. Intital depoit was $300.
Thought I'd apply for a Capital One Quicksilver Card, so today pulled the trigger. They came back with the message, we need to investigate further , you will receieve a letter in 7-10 days. We all know what that means, right? So being disappointed I just forgot about. Well, later today I remembered that I put a Security Freeze on Experian. I called the Recon number: 800-903-9177 and the gentleman on the phone took my information as I told him why I had put the Security Freeze on Experian.
That was what the issue was. They tried to pull Experian and they told them to take hike LOL!. He told me that what the "further investigation" was is that they wanted me to show proof of my residence (utility bill or bank statement), a copy of my driver license, and my SS Card to show it was actually me.
He told me that once I did that, to give them 24-48 hrs (his words) "before I'd see it on my account page"! I sent them, as he requested, a faxed copy of what they requested.
I'll post what happens after the weekend. And to think, I was just going to walk away. Keeping fingers crossed.
