Need some input. I was approved for the Penfed Promise for $1K on 1/23/18 and despite recon could not get it higher. EQ 9 was 690. I did establish contact with a nice LO who thought the initial decision was conservative but didn't want to over rule. I'd like to make use of that hard pull for a CLI and app for the Power Cash. I've already put $1200 through this card and my balance is $100. My statement will cut about 3/12. Should I ask fro the CLI first and then app for the second cc? Utilization on my 4 cards is 3%.
I want the CLI and new cc within 90 days to use the same hard pull.. Question is will an increase on the Promise likely to lead to a matching SL on the 2 nd card?
If they’re using the same HP, their opinion of you is likely unchanged. 30 days isn’t much to build trust on. I doubt you’ll get the CLI, or the new card. I’d say revisit in 6 months.
