Penfed and Chase

I am really wanting to ap for Penfed Power Cash Rewards and either CSP or CSR. All of my reports will show 0 inq and once everything posts up will have about 40% util. over half of that is on Care Credit for some dental surgery Smiley Mad that is just came on. According to the simulator here on MyFico, it shows my scores should be EQ 697 TU 708 and EX 658. (Not sure why that one is so much different info is identical). Household income is about $144K.

How sensitive are either of those lenders as far as Util? I have had my Chase accounts for over 3 years now and have had a PenFed savings account for about the same time and have a small balance there. I would really like to hear any feedback and/or suggestions you guys have.

Thanks

I THINK that you might be ok on a recon with PenFed - It's pretty easy to explain the util on CareCredit to them, if that is the main issue with your Util... Id you are denied, or get a low SL... definitely call in for a recon...!   Chase might be a little tougher though.. Your EQ should translate to a decent Nexgen score with them,

NFCU $60.4k/PenFed $22.5k/Commerce $15K/53 $11K/Synovus $14K/BBT $11K/CapOne $12K/DCU $7.5K/BMO $7.5K/Chase $14.5k/Cabelas $10K/ and many many more!
Total CL $398600, plus car and RV loan.
Ooh. Ooh. Getting closer to that $500K mark!

Re: Penfed and Chase

Thanks for the input. On the subject of PenFed, I have read on here, I think, about there being a prequal for their products and also something about a survey that seems to have some good results. Could someone please fill me in on the process with PenFed? Thanks

The prequals show up on the bottom right of your home screen.... "offers"

After you apply.. youll probably get a survey emailed to you. if you arent happy with your SL (or denial) fill it out, and express your concerns - they WILL contact you very quickly to discuss...
