Penfed card app soft pull EX besides hard pull EQ

I applied and was denied for a Penfed card, but had I known that they would soft pull experian in addition to the equifax hard inquiry, I wouldn't have applied. I couldn't find any posts with this info, so in case it may help someone, Penfed may do a secondary soft enquiry to experian for a card application.

Thanks for sharing your PenFed experience @Anonymous.  I'm sure the community appreciates the DPs.  What reason(s) did they provide for not getting approved?

I applied (and was approved) for the PenFed Platinum Rewards Signature Visa back in March and noticed both the HP from EQ and the SP from EX and have reported that datapoint in at least a few posts here since.
