I'm planning to app for navy flagship.
Anyone know who they pull?
I'm new with navy, two months.
My fico8 scores are ~800, fico9 higher.
I have a checking with them, I've been using it for bills
I have a direct deposit to the checking, balance always above $1,000.
I opened a Special EasyStart Certificate.
In all honesty you're under 90 days with them and while its possible that you could be approved in your first go for Flagship, it's a real gamble. Navy has tightened up a bit and so if it were me ( I have 3 cards with them) I would recommend the CashRewards as your first card
NFCU pulled TU last night for the Flagship Visa.
Instant approval for 25K.
@CreditPoor is correct. Probably too early for Flagship for the OP.
So, would I be more likely to be approved for a different navy card now? It seems like that would add another hp and a new most recent account.
Any card you apply for with Navy will result in a new HP and eventually a new account. I would suggest waiting at least 90 days before applying. Let a few more deposits go in and then apply for something other than the Flagship as my first card.
I tried the preapproval, got a go for all of their cards. How reliable is this?

not very.......
It is possible @FicoMike0.
@NoMoreDebt got the Flagship as their first NFCU card after 6 months of membership.
Here is that post from last June:

Their pre-approval tool is notoriously unreliable. Not that it can't be done, but I'd say it's too soon to go for the Flagship as your first card.
I know it's an older thread ![]()
I joined NFCU today and parked $5 in a savings account to hold the door open.
I am not, nor have I ever been in the military. I'm sure my one semester of ROTC in college would not impress them. My dad, who passed away in 2002, was in the Marine Corps in the fifties and sixties. I don't know the dates or have a copy of his DD214 or anything (though I could probably get that from my mom if needed). They took my word for it and I only had to scan my drivers license.
The only thing they have that I'm interested in is the Flagship Rewards card, and that only to save on the Amazon Prime membership . . . and the possibility that the Global Entry and/or TSA Precheck could come in handy at some point, but mostly just to save $90/year on Amazon.
I don't know if I need to build a relationship with them for a while before applying for the Flagship. Their site says I'm prequalified for all the cards, but posts here and elsewhere say that's unreliable. Some people have said to wait 90 days. I don't know if having a $5 balance in savings for 3 months is going to do anything to help. Someone mentioned a $50 easy CD. I could do that. Do I need to get another card (that I don't need) or start channeling part of my pay through a checking account there or something just to improve my odds of getting the card I want?
I read somewhere that DTI is something they look at. Mine's a bit high at the moment but dropping rapidly. Should look good in mid-May when I'll be 0/6 on new cards, and even better in mid-July when my NFCU membership will be 90 days old.
