Possibly no longer just Transunion on Synchrony Bank!!!!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on my experience.  I have acquired a few cards with Synchrony Bank and they have pulled Experian for the credit check.  My past apps with them have been nothing but Transunion.  These apps are within the last couple of weeks.  Just a heads up.   Anyone else experience this?

Rebuilding Phase- First goal, cross into 700 on all three CR's
As of 2/22/2014- EQ FICO: 684, EX FICO: 696, TU FICO (Walmart): 711
First 700 achieved, two more to go!

Re: Possibly no longer just Transunion on Synchrony Bank!!!!

Honestly no but I'll definitely be careful in the future if I ever want more Sync Bank cards. Even my Sam's Club app from yesterday was just a TU pull. I read a case on CreditPulls where someone applied for the Ebates Visa and they wanted to pull his EX report and that was frozen so he didn't go through with that.

Tradelines: Macy’s - $18k, Penfed Power Cash Rewards - $10k, Ethan Allen (TD Bank) - $5.7k, Kay Jewelers - $5.5k, Appliances Connection - $5.3k, Jared - $5.25k, Best Buy (Citi) - $5k, Dell Preferred Account - $3.5k, Samsung - $3.2k, Firestone CFNA - $3.2k, Capital One Platinum - $3k, Mercury MC - $2.25k, Williams Sonoma - $2.1k, Wayfair (Fortiva) - $2k, Amazon Store Card - $1.8k, Apple Card - $1.7k, NFCU cashRewards - $1.5k, CareCredit - $1.5k, B&H Photo - $1.5k, Adorama - $1.25k, Ebay MC - $1k, Sam’s Club MC - $1k, American Eagle - $1k, Ollo MC - $600, Mission Lane Visa - $500, NY & Company - $500, Walgreens - $500, Home Depot - $500, Target RED Card - $500, CapOne Secured MC 0 AF - $500, Penfed Overdraft LOC - $500

Current FICOS: Mid 640s-50s on all reports, Ch 7 BK D/C Aug 2019
Starting scores: EX - 534, EQ - 574, TU - 516 | Total TLs: $91k approx | Total Utilization: 17%, getting this back down

I don't plan on apping anything SYNCB in the near future, but thanks for the heads up. I might consider freezing my EX...Will MyFICO still pull through the freeze?

It would be helpful if you'd list the credit cards.  GE/Synch Bank does pull EXP for some of their accounts, ie Sony Card, AshleyFurniture

+1.   The Furniture stores are known for pulling EX, so I'm also curious if any of the other retail CCs are following suit.

BofA CCR WMC $75000 | AMEX Cash Magnet $64000 | Disney Premier VS $52000 | Discover IT $46000 | NFCU cashRewards Plus WMC $33000 |Venmo VS $30000 | Cash+ VS $30000 | Macy's AMEX $25000 | Ralphs Rewards WEMC $25000 | Synchrony Premier $24,200 | Citi Custom Cash MC $22600 | GS Apple Card WEMC $22000 | WF Attune WEMC $22000 | Freedom Flex WEMC $18000 | Amazon VS $15000 | Target MC $14500 | BMO Harris Cash Back MC $14000 | Rakuten AMEX $12500 | Sephora VS $11900 | Wayfair MC $9500 |~~

Re: Possibly no longer just Transunion on Synchrony Bank!!!!

Good point, should of listed the cards that pulled Experian. All approved but was shocked they pulled Experian cause I have way more inquiries on it than transunion.

1. Dicks Sporting Goods
2. Rooms To Go
3. Sam's Club Mastercard

One more but gotta check first to make sure which report was pulled.

Re: Possibly no longer just Transunion on Synchrony Bank!!!!

That is odd. Sams was a TU pull a couple months ago for me.

All furniture stores are EX (Rooms, Ashley's, Layzboy etc)

Your TU isn't frozen right?

If anyone needs me I will be In The Garden. Goal Score: 760 for all in 2015.
Current FICO Scores EX: 715 EQ: 756 TU: 762
Last APP April 21, 2015.
Victim of The great AMEX HP heist of Dec 1st, 2nd and 3rd of 2014.
