Pottery Barn 2 week response??

So I applied for a Pottery Barn card.  I have not applied for a credit card in over 2 years.  Experian FICO is 823, long aaoa, 1% utiliztion, high income.

This is the response I received:

Thank you for your Pottery Barn credit card application. The information you provided is being reviewed. You may expect a reply by mail within 2 weeks.

I only have one other Comenity store card and have had it for years.  Zero balance, use it a few times a year and PIF.

Maybe this is a sign that I really don't need another store card.  LOL.  Certainly wasn't expecting this response.  I'm not big on store cards but this is one that I would have used since I shop at Pottery Barn a lot.

Getting a 7-10 day response is typically a denial, but not always. Getting a 2-week response is typically an approval, but not always. The extra time is to get the CC made and to you.

Your FICO credit scores are not just numbers, it’s a skill.

Re: Pottery Barn 2 week response??

The 2-week message is not necessarily to make the CC. Typically, with Comenity/CCB, these responses are usually associated with additional verification. Potentially, they'll be verify other information via third party providers (i.e. SageStream) and send you a letter to contact them for additional information.

Hopefully, it'll yield something positive OP.

No inquiry yet.  And this was a cold app.  Just pulled all 3 reports.

Maybe it is because I just moved/new address.
