Premium CC approval chance

So I been working on my credit worthiness for about a year now. I started out with Credit One Bank and First Premiere and moved on to Cap1 platinum which has now upgraded to Quicksilver. My goal is to get approved for AMEX platinum card since i'm always traveling and can take advantage of all the perks. Below are my details, if anyone with experience could give me pointers on how to move up the ladder to get approved for the premium cards in Tier 3 or 4.

FICO 8 scores

EX - 660 EQ - 627 TU - 616

AAOA - 3yrs Credit Utilization - 17%

AA Credit Union - 1 (30 days late)

Credit One Bank - 1 (30 days late)

First Premier Bank - 1 (30 days late)

The most recent 30 days late was 11 months ago. That is all the negative marks showing on my credit reports. No charge-offs, collections or public records.

My income is about 6K a month. I want to benefit from hotels and airport lounges so please let me know which card I should apply for or may qualify for. I'm thinking Chase Marriott or IHG premier, AMEX SPG or Hilton Honors, Platinum, etc.

Anyone here every been approve for these types of cards with 30 days lates? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Re: Premium CC approval chance

Out of the cards listed - you'll probably get approved for the Amex Platinum the easiest. The UW for charge cards is alot more lenient then any of the other cards.

Also - for the 30 days late - I would send GW letters to see if they can be removed. It might take a while but they pay off will be that they may get removed. The impact of 30 days late (from DP's), is that they don't impact as much after 2 years. Also, your TU score is quite low compared to the others. Do you have any other baddies? Also, bring your utilization under 8%, that's the threshold you want to stay under to help maximize your score.

Also - I would cancel the CreditOne if you already have 3 credit cards. Check out Discover as well. If you havn't tried, check prequals for both Amex, Discover and Chase.

Scores - All bureaus 770 +
TCL - Est. $410K

Re: Premium CC approval chance

Thanks for replying.

I forgot to mention I sent out goodwill letters to all 3 lenders. Credit One called me yesterday to let me know they got my email and to allow 3-5 business day for an answer.

Also Credit One and First premiere are closed. Credit One is PIF while first premiere has a balance.

Wow that crazy idk why I thought the platinum would be the hardest out of the ones I mentioned. I think I read somewhere where the hotel rewards cards fall under tier 3 and the platinum was more like tier 2 CC. Anyways good to know. I'll wait another 30 days to see if any lates come off and then pull the trigger.
