No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I am currently 19 years old, and am preparing for my second app spree. Trying to build a solid base of cards, with three priorities in mind:
1) Build relationships with each of the major issuers
2) Maximize rewards (start getting more 3% and 5% categories)
3) Push my average limits higher (+$5K)
My bio currently has my cards and scores in it, but to summarize, I started building credit w/ Cap1 May 2016, added Discover (secured, just unsecured recently) April 2017, and went on a 3-card app spree July 2017, so 5 revolving lines. I did also start an Alliant SSL less than a month ago, still hasn't reported, but will hopefully push my scores into the high 780s. AAoA is 7 months.
I have been gardening since July '17, and will garden until June '18. That is when I will fall under 5/24 (being at 4/24), and plan on applying for the Chase Freedom. After that, I want to know what I should add to my spree. My highest spend category during college will be restaurants and fast food, definitely not gasoline until I finish college. I was leanining toward the US Cash+ due to the high rewards, but not sure about denial since they will see my app for Chase overlapping with EQ. Attached are also the bureaus that they will check for my state.
TL;DR: Please let me know if you have any strategies/reorderings of my spree. I WILL NOT apply for all 5 of these at once, these are just the cards that have my interest right now, and am thinking strategically about the inquiries.
EDIT: Since Barclaycard is the ony TU-only checker, I think I will move it up to position 4, before Savor.
