Preparing for an TU app spree. Need Advice

My Barclay Carnival just posted at 1% util. My TU score is 699. Zero collections just a chargeoff from 13 months ago.

AAOA 5 years.

I've already applied for a lending club loan and was approved for that but that is a soft pull so I'm good there.

I would like another Barclays card ..Sallie Mae to be exact

What are some other good cards to get that pull transunion? Chase Southwest Visa?

My Eq and Ex are frozen solid.

Chase did NOT pull TU for my SW Visa, they pulled EX. Of course, YMMV.

They might pull TU but they will pull another report with it.

Re: Preparing for an TU app spree. Need Advice

Just found out a local credit union in texas pulls TU exclusively. They also have a line of credit product that I could use

Is it wiser to apply with the CU first before Barclays and Chase?

You shouldn't selectively freeze bureaus to force a lender to pull a more favorable one.

That being said. Your charge-off is just TOO recent to expect any instant approvals. I'm not saying that you won't see ANY approvals...But you'd better be ready to explain yourself to credit analysts if you decide to proceed.

That.  ^

A chargeoff from 13 months ago will most likely cause problems...

If the charge off is paid, do you want a future relationship with this creditor? Have you tried good willing for removal? Check out the rebuilding forum on how to get that baddie removed. Your scores will be stellar if it is removed. Otherwise, plan on gardening at least 4 years. That could be time well spent getting rid of that bugger.

Why are the other reports frozen? Do you have other baddies?

Whoa this sounds like a copy paste

This thread is not about the chargeoff. That has nothing to do with whom I am applying for.
