I know they stay on your report for a certain amount of time. How does the 6 month rule work. They no longer effect your score agter 6 months? They drop off? If my last spree was mid October would i need to wait till April or May? I am in the planning phase so no hurry. I appreciate all advice you guys have helped me raise my score over 100 points in one year.

Not necessarily at 6 months but for FICO scoring system, they are not effecting after 12 months period. They drop off? If my last spree was mid October would i need to wait till April or May? INQ dont dropof your CR prior to 2 year marks. CRAs are required to list them for two years. Certain numbers of INQ also are an indictaion to creditors that you have been seeking credit agressively or passively. Please note INQ makes up only 10% of the FICO scoring of your CR but certain creditors are over-sensitive to INQ. I am in the planning phase so no hurry.
