QuickSilver1 Denied

So I applied for QS1 and its been about a week and I saw today that they pulled my report. Called in on a status update and was told i got denied.

I really had no bussiness applying because my score is only 556 but I jumped the gun does anyone think i have a chance to recon it with the EO office or should i just cut my losses and try for the BOA secured card..

 Thanks

Re: QuickSilver1 Denied

Cap One does a tripple pull and since you've already been with it, I would try to recon it, the worst they can say is no.

Re: QuickSilver1 Denied

Hello OP, just wanted to say I'm sorry for the denial. I know you felt disappointed but this experience should give you energy to start to fix the things that should have been fixed in order to improve your credit. I would suggest that when you call CapOne if your turned down is to be considered for the secured card since they already pulled your credit. Good luck!

Re: QuickSilver1 Denied

556 would pretty much require a secured card.  I see no chance of unsecured approval.

Don't be so sure. I've seen QS (Visa) approvals with 590's and QS1 (MC) approvals with 530's roll through.

It's not just the scores.

Ok... OP's chance is still slim at any rate.  You don't get a 556 score without serious derogs.

Re: QuickSilver1 Denied

With your score, I'd say the chances are slim. How does your profile look like (any other cards that you have? )?

Re: QuickSilver1 Denied

Always recon.  You have to try to get something for the tripple pull.  I'd at least go secured card route.  You'll get in the door with them and it will switch over sooner then you probably think.

Agree kinda with Nixon on this... Deffinetly not out of the ballpark.. this when I got my QS MC I was @ 530ish...  Ya nasty isn't it...  Granted I had alot of postive stuff on my credit report as well, so score is not everything it is the profile they look at more then the score.. Granted the OP might have a whole different profile and most likely does than I did at the time.. I am still at a 660ish EX and havfe a 20k+ Amex plus the other cards I have, so once again score isnt everything.

Worth a recon atttempt if not possibly a Journey card and PC it?  I believe journey might be easier than QS1
